Josée Lavoie-Mutonkole is a Franco-Canadian author-illustrator and graphic designer based in Eastern Ontario. With a background in graphic design, she creates playful and expressive illustrations for children’s books, educational publications, and magazines.

Since 2022, Josée has self-published several bilingual children’s books in French and English, developing stories that combine thoughtful design, vibrant visuals, and a love for storytelling. Her work focuses on creating inclusive and engaging visual worlds where young readers can see themselves represented.

She also collaborates with Francophone organizations across Canada on illustration and visual communication projects. Inspired by nature, travel, and everyday discoveries, Josée creates illustrations that spark curiosity and imagination.
